Wolverhampton Wanderers Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club are an English football club from Wolverhampton, based 1877th The team nickname is the "Wolves" (Wolves), and it was one of the twelve clubs who formed the Football League 1888.

The club had a heyday in the 1950s, when it won the league three times. It also reached some success in the 1970s, but the 1980s saw the club its worst period ever. Wolves went down into four divisions and was about to go bankrupt. However, it was back, and played for many Ari division one before the year 2003 took the step up in the Premier League.
